JOAQUIM von SANDRART

Joaquim von Sandrart (1606-1688) German art historian and painter, was a pupil of Aegigius Sadeler of the Sadeler family, and was active in Amsterdam during the Dutch Golden Age. He is best known for his educational compilation of short biographies of Dutch and German artists in the Teutsche Academie.
