Romeyn De Hooghe (1645-1708) Dutch painter, sculptor, medal maker, goldsmith, illustrator, etcher, and publisher. Born in Amsterdam, nephew of the painter Pieter de Hoogh. He is best known for political caricatures of Louis XIV and propagandistic prints supporting William of Orange.
