Friedrich Johann Justin Bertuch (September 30, 1747 – April 3, 1822) was a German publisher and patron of the arts. He co-founded the Weimar Princely Free Drawing School with the painter Georg Melchior Kraus in 1776. Between 1790 and 1830 Bertuch printed the Bilderbuch für Kinder (‘Picture Book for Children’), a twelve-volume illustrated natural history series aimed at children. Images from the book were sometimes used for embroideries.
